Quick Notes

Gradient does not currently integrate with school grading systems (for example: HAC, Blackboard, or Canvas). All course and assignment data is entered by users.

Gradient is designed to help you plan and understand outcomes, but your official grade should always be verified in your school’s LMS.

FAQ

Do I need an account to use Gradient?

Yes. A Gradient account is required for use. Registered accounts allow students to stay connected to each other through shared courses.

I lost access to my account. What should I do?

For help with lost access, please email jdrake.ford.dev@gmail.com.

Can I use Gradient on multiple devices?

Yes. Sign in with the same account and you can use Gradient on as many devices as you’d like.

My grade doesn’t match what I see in my LMS. What should I check?

While we have high confidence in Gradient’s ability to calculate your grade, we strongly discourage using it as a source of truth. Always consult your LMS to know what your official grade is.

To help Gradient match your LMS, first verify that your course weights are set up properly. Then double check that all assignment grades have been entered correctly. If there is still a discrepancy, email jdrake.ford.dev@gmail.com.

Does Gradient integrate with HAC, Blackboard, or Canvas?

Not currently. We do not currently support integration with school grading systems like HAC, Blackboard, or Canvas.

An invite code isn’t working. What should I do?

Make sure the invite code is spelled correctly. If you are still facing issues, email us at jdrake.ford.dev@gmail.com.

If I import a shared course, can I edit it?

Shared courses and assignments are partially, but not fully editable. You can edit anything only you can see (like course nickname, icon, and color), but not shared resources (for example: professor name, syllabus info, etc.).

Does sharing a course share my grades with others?

No. We keep your grade fully private.
