Gradient (“the App,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) provides tools for students to track grades, assignments, analytics, and coursework. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information. By using Gradient, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

• Email address (for email/password sign-in)
• Display name and email from Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In
Passwords are handled securely through Supabase Auth and are never visible to us.

1.2 User-Provided Coursework and Grade Data

You may enter courses, assignments, due dates, schemes, and grades. This information is stored in your Supabase account tables.

1.3 Automatic Technical Data

We collect only the technical logs automatically generated by Supabase:
• IP address and timestamp
• Database transaction logs (for security + debugging)

1.4 Subscription Information

Subscription status is handled by RevenueCat. We do not collect or store credit card information.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to:
• Authenticate your account
• Store and display your coursework, grades, and analytics
• Sync subscription status
• Improve reliability and performance
• Communicate with you for support
We do not sell or share your data for advertising.

3. Third-Party Services

Supabase: Authentication, database storage, logs.
RevenueCat: Subscription status and entitlements.
Google / Apple: If you use their sign-in options.
We do not use advertising SDKs.

4. Data Sharing

Data is shared only with the service providers listed above. We do not sell, rent, or trade user data.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, your personal data stored in Supabase is permanently deleted.

6. Your Rights

You may request to access, update, or delete your information at any time. You may also delete your account directly inside the app.

7. Children’s Privacy

Gradient is not intended for users under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we will delete it.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including secure authentication, HTTPS encryption, and restricted database access. No system is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. The “Last Updated” date will be revised accordingly.
